Nominees Announced For Next Week’s Black Podcasting Awards.

Organizers of the Black Podcasting Awards are gearing up for next week’s annual celebration of creation and content for the Black experience in the world of podcasting. The BPA ceremony will be virtual when it is held Thursday, Sept. 30 at 8pm (ET). It will be hosted by podcasters Allie Mitchell and Quinn Conyers, and the show will include live performances and a Zoom afterparty.

"Black podcasters continue to innovate and address critical issues in the Black community that are often overlooked in the mainstream media," said Georgie-Ann Getton-McKoy, Executive Director and cofounder of the Black Podcasting Awards. "This event celebrates these pioneering voices and gives them the recognition they deserve.”

The Black Podcasting Awards will recognize 68 Black podcasts and their creators across 22 award categories. The 2021 nominees include an Olympic gold medalist, well-known business leaders, and widely recognized professionals regularly covered in news and media.
