Nashville’s WSM-AM To Launch ‘The Kelly Sutton Show.’

Kelly Sutton takes over Ryman Hospitality “WSM Radio” WSM-AM (650) Nashville’s morning drive Aug. 10 with the launch of “The Kelly Sutton Show,” airing weekdays from 6am-10am CT.
The Grand Ole Opry announcer will lead the new program with fellow Opry host Charlie Mattos as producer and co-host, joined by WSM Studio Director Annie Ney. WSM personality Amber Anderson, who co-hosts Amazon Music’s “Country Heat Weekly” podcast with Sutton, will contribute regularly. Segments will stream across WSM’s social platforms.
Sutton spent the past five years co-hosting “Coffee, Country & Cody” alongside the late Bill Cody, who died June 9 at 67 after more than three decades at WSM. She continues hosting her nationally syndicated “Y’all Access with Kelly Sutton,” the “Country Heat Weekly” podcast and “The Nashville Show” on Absolute Radio Country in the UK.
“Bill Cody was so much more than a coworker — he was a dear friend, a mentor and someone who helped shape both my career and my love for this audience,” Sutton says in a news release.
WSM General Manager Eric Marcum added, “Kelly’s personality, her passion for the music community and the genuine relationships she’s built with artists and fans is exactly what our listeners connect with.”
