More Mic Time: Ben Shapiro Expands Daily Podcast To 90 Minutes.

Ben Shapiro has more to say, and now he will have the time to say it. The Daily Wire says The Ben Shapiro Show will expand from 60 to 90 minutes, giving listeners 50% more Shapiro each weekday. “As daily headlines multiply and cultural shifts accelerate, one thing remains clear: the world needs more Ben Shapiro,” The Daily Wire says in the announcement. The expanded show will be available across all existing platforms, including DailyWire+ and YouTube — where video versions of the podcast are available.

The extended format will give Shapiro more time for broader coverage of daily headlines, deeper dives into relevant topics, and more segments and interviews. The expansion marks the latest evolution in the show’s format — which earlier also had radio distribution. The Daily Wire says The Ben Shapiro Show and its related online content has more than 30 million followers. TheRighting said last week that Shapiro had the most subscribers of any conservative podcast during the first quarter.

Shapiro is the co-founder and Editor Emeritus of The Daily Wire. In addition to his flagship show, he has also hosted “Facts,” “The Search” and “The Sunday Special.”

Westwood One began to syndicate Shapiro’s one-hour podcast to radio in 2018, then a year later it was expanded to three hours with the two additional hours hosted live. But Shapiro gave up an hour in 2021 when Micheal Knowles’ podcast simulcast was added to the Westwood One lineup. Then in 2023, Shapiro pulled back from his radio duties altogether. And last year, Daily Wire ended its relationship with Westwood One.
