Monica Lewinsky Is ‘Reclaiming’ Her Story In Her First Podcast.

It has been 27 years since Monica Lewinsky and her story about White House dalliances consumed American headlines. In the years since, Lewinsky has remained a public fascination with the “me too” movement exposing a new generation to one of the most infamous political scandals of our time. Now Lewinsky is launching her first podcast, which makes no secret that its aim is to reclaim her story and that of others.

Lewinsky has partnered with Wondery to launch a new interview-based weekly podcast series called Reclaiming with Monica Lewinsky. Lewinsky, who is today an activist and anti-bullying advocate, television producer and Vanity Fair contributing editor, will sit down with a mix of recognizable names, everyday folks, experts and friends to discuss what it means to reclaim what has been lost or taken from them.

“These are meaningful and surprising personal conversations through the prism of reclaiming,” Lewinsky says. “Whether it’s the Sisyphean task of redefining a co-opted narrative, re-recording a music catalogue to reclaim ownership, decluttering a physical space to find freedom, or even a small moment of choosing peace over escalation in a personal argument, the way people reclaim utterly fascinates me. Reclamations can encompass loss, grief, resilience, grace and ultimately triumph. And if you’re lucky, there’s some humor along the way to grease the wheel.”

Early guests will include actor and writer Alan Cumming, tech journalist and author Kara Swisher, actress and activist Olivia Munn, actress and writer Molly Ringwald, singer and songwriter Joanna “JoJo” Levesque, and author Anne Lamott, among others. Lewinsky will delve into the practical, personal, and often messy ways that people find their way back to themselves. And while she has often been at the center of a story told by others, Wondery says the Reclaiming podcast is part of her ongoing effort to find her own public voice.
