MIW-CRB Launch Third Year Of Mentorship Initiative.

Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio (MIW) announced the start of applications for the third annual Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Country Radio Mentorship Program, presented in partnership with Country Radio Broadcasters (CRB), which organizes the Country Radio Seminar (CRS).

The program is part of an ongoing collaboration between the two organizations. Officials said the partnership has been extended through a new multiyear agreement, reflecting continued industry support and a shared goal of expanding leadership opportunities for women in country radio.

The initiative selects one mentee for a yearlong experience that includes mentorship from industry leaders, professional development opportunities, and introductions across the country radio sector. The selected participant will also attend the 2027 Country Radio Seminar in Nashville, a major annual gathering for country radio professionals.

The program is open to women working full-time at U.S. country radio stations who have at least five years of industry experience. Applications will be accepted through April 17.

“CRB is proud to continue our partnership with MIW on this important initiative,” said RJ Curtis, Executive Director of Country Radio Broadcasters. “Developing strong leaders is essential to the long-term success of our format, and programs like this create meaningful opportunities for talented women in country radio to grow their careers while building lasting industry relationships.”

Jessica Chenoweth, the program’s 2025 mentee, said the experience provided valuable exposure to different aspects of the industry.

“Being selected as the 2025 mentee was an incredibly valuable experience,” Chenoweth said. “Learning directly from leaders across the country radio community and gaining insight into different areas of the business has had a lasting impact on my professional growth.”

Becky Brenner, an MIW board member and partner at Albright & O’Malley & Brenner Consulting, said the program is designed to strengthen the industry by developing future leaders.

“Country radio thrives on strong relationships, deep community roots, and forward-thinking leadership,” Brenner said. “Through this mentorship, we are intentionally investing in the next generation of women leaders within the format. When we elevate women into decision-making roles, we strengthen the entire industry.”
