Mike McGuinness Rises To CFO at iHeartMedia.

After years of Rich Bressler carrying the triple title of COO, President and CFO, iHeartMedia has promoted Mike McGuinness to Chief Financial Officer. McGuinness has served as Executive VP of Finance and Deputy Chief Financial Officer since joining iHeart in 2019.

Bressler remains President and COO of the company and CEO of the iHeartMedia Multi-Platform Group.

In his new role, McGuinness, 48, oversees all accounting, tax, financial planning, financial reporting, shared services, treasury, real estate, and investor relations functions for the company.

“Mike is deeply respected, both by our internal team and externally by the finance, analyst and investor communities,” Bressler and CEO Bob Pittman said in a joint memo to employees. “He has served as our Executive Vice President of Finance and Deputy Chief Financial Officer since joining iHeart in 2019, leading our financial transactions, planning and analysis, compliance and reporting and investor relations, and working with the two of us on every issue of financial importance to our company. His expertise is matched by his integrity, work ethic, leadership and commitment to increasing shareholder value, and this promotion is extremely well deserved.”

“Mike will continue to work closely with us, particularly with Rich, who has been serving as our Chief Financial Officer since joining the company in 2013 in addition to his roles as President, Chief Operating Officer and CEO of the iHeartMedia Multi-Platform Group,” the memo continues. “He’ll also continue to lead our world-class Finance team.”

Before joining iHeart, McGuinness was Senior VP, Chief Accounting Officer and Treasurer of The Hain Celestial Group, and spent seven years with Monster Worldwide, Inc. in various finance positions, including as Chief Accounting Officer, Head of Investor Relations, and most recently, as Executive VP and CFO. He started his career as a public accountant with Arthur Andersen and is a Certified Public Accountant in New York.
