Conservative commentator Megyn Kelly is entering the crowded morning podcast space. She is launching a daily morning podcast that will become a companion to her successful The Megyn Kelly Show, which publishes weekday afternoons. The new AM Update with Megyn Kelly will drop episodes at 6am each weekday offering her take on the morning headlines.

“I’m excited to bring this new show to our fans, many of whom have been asking us for a quick summary of the day’s headlines to kick off their morning,” Kelly tells The Daily Mail.

Episodes of AM Update will publish at 6am ET in the feed of her regular podcast and run about 15 minutes. They will also air on SiriusXM’s right-leaning Triumph channel at 8:45am ET.

While the audio of the AM Update will be in all the usual places for a podcast, Kelly tells fans on social media there will not be a video version. “I don’t want to be hair/makeup ready that late/early,” she says, adding, “A woman needs to hang out makeup free in her pajamas for some hours of the day.”

The Megyn Kelly Show currently has 3.37 million subscribers on YouTube.

Kelly launched her podcast in 2020 after spending several years on television. Daily Mail says it had more than one billion YouTube views in 2024.

Kelly isn’t the first conservative podcaster to add a second show to focus on morning commuters. Last July, conservative commentator Dan Bongino expanded his podcast brand with the launch of a new daily morning series. The Bongino Report Early Edition, hosted by journalist Evita Duffy-Alfonso, ranked No. 11 on Triton Digital’s ranker in December.
