Live Nation Surpasses Estimated Q1 Revenue, Boding Well For Summer’s Hottest Tours.

Any ill will that concertgoers may have for Live Nation Entertainment — especially following the guilty verdict in the monopoly-based lawsuit of the world’s largest concert promoter and parent company of Ticketmaster — may be short-lived judging from the continued strong state of the live show business in 2026, based on the company’s first-quarter earnings and the tours set to rock arenas this summer.

According to data from LSEG as reported by Reuters, Live Nation posted a total revenue of $3.8 billion for Q1 2026, well above analysts’ estimates of $3.57 billion, suggesting a steady demand for concerts and live events in spite of an uncertain economy or Live Nation’s legal woes. In April, a New York jury decided that the company holds illegal monopolies in the market for ticketing services to more than 200 major venues, and for dozens of large concert amphitheaters booked by artists.

Although Live Nation showed a $371 million operating loss, driven by a $450 million legal accrual, and a loss of $1.85 per share vs. 32 cents per share a year ago, ticket sales were unaffected, up 11% to more than 107 million through the end of April. That’s a direct result of Live Nation’s focus on blockbuster tours by major artists, fueled by higher ticket prices to drive growth.

“We have already booked over 85% of our large-venue shows for the year, with show counts up year-over-year across stadiums, arenas, and amphitheaters,” Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino says.

All this bodes well for the big summer tours and those kicking off in the fall — not to mention it’s good news for stations promoting and giving away tough-to-get seats for shows featuring core artists.

For CHR and hot AC outlets, that means access to tours from Ariana Grande, Harry Styles, Bruno Mars and both Olivias — Rodrigo and Dean. The hot tickets for urban contemporary and rhythmic CHR listeners include tours from Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, and Usher and Chris Brown together. Morgan Wallen and Luke Combs headline country’s hottest tours, while the biggest Latin music shows are from Bad Bunny and Karol G. For rock and classic rock listeners, the big summer draws include Foo Fighters, Bon Jovi, Rush and Bruce Springsteen.
