iHeartMedia has elevated several senior executives within its Community Markets organization, naming Mark Glynn and Jeff Thomas as Division Presidents and expanding the regional responsibilities of longtime executive Marshal Burgess.

Glynn has been promoted to Division President of Community Markets, where he will oversee 20 markets across Nebraska, Iowa, the Pacific region, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Alaska. He most recently served as Area President for Seattle and Spokane, a role in which the company says he drove growth and innovation. Glynn will report to John Karpinski, President of Community Markets.

Also reporting to Karpinski, Thomas has added the role of Division President of Community Markets to his current responsibilities. In the expanded position, he will lead 27 markets, including those in Upstate New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Hawaii and the Mid North region. Thomas previously served as Executive VP of Strategic Sales Development for iHeart’s News and Talk stations.

“Mark and Jeff consistently demonstrate exceptional leadership in developing business, cultivating long-standing client relationships, and building high-performing sales teams,” Karpinski said. “Their strategic vision and deep understanding of our business will be instrumental as we continue to invest in our people and platforms.”

In a separate move, iHeartMedia has promoted Portland Market President Marshal Burgess to Region President of the Pacific Northwest Area, expanding his oversight to include Seattle, Portland and Spokane. Burgess will report to Division President Nick Gnau. A 28-year iHeart veteran, Burgess has led the Portland market and is credited with driving growth and strengthening regional relationships.

“Marshal has been a cornerstone of iHeart’s success in the Pacific Northwest, consistently driving growth and fostering strong relationships throughout the region,” said Gnau. “With a deep understanding of the business and a proven leadership track record, he is well-positioned to lead the region and drive success.”
