Larry O’Connor Named Host Of Salem’s National Morning Show.

Salem Media is taking Larry O’Connor national, naming him to lead its 6-9am ET morning lineup beginning May 4 across the Salem Radio Network and Salem News Channel. The move expands the reach of “O’Connor & Company,” which will continue in its longtime slot on Cumulus Media news/talk WMAL Washington, DC (105.9) while also serving as Salem’s flagship morning program.

Best known for his DC-based show and his role as editor of Townhall.com, O’Connor has spent more than a decade at the center of the political conversation, with an audience that includes lawmakers, administration officials and media insiders. In the new role, he will help set the daily news agenda across Salem’s platforms, delivering political analysis, interviews and commentary to more than 140 affiliates, with the program also simulcast on Salem News Channel.

He also noted longtime executive producer Heather Hunter will remain with the program.

The expansion is part of Salem’s broader strategy to align its radio, television and digital assets, positioning O’Connor across platforms that include his midday streaming show “Larry,” which airs at noon ET on multiple digital outlets.
