Insurance, wireless, and home centers & hardware stores remained top-of-mind in the latest Media Monitors list of radio’s top 100 advertisers based on spot count.
Progressive Insurance, with more than 60,000 spots, led the overall list. But one of its competitors — Allstate — climbed from No. 14 to No. 9 on the latest chart with 28,556 spots.
T-Mobile, No. 2 overall with 57,241, saw Verizon Wireless (30,510) jump from No. 12 to No. 8. The wireless segment remained an active radio advertising space, with TracFone’s Straight Talk (25,879 spots), Cricket (24,910) and Boost Mobile (21,929).
And two home-improvement heavyweights — The Home Depot and Lowe’s — maintained their respective standings as two of radio’s premier advertisers. The Home Depot, with 44,281 total spots, was third overall, just ahead of Lowe’s (42,399). In the prior week, Lowe’s was No. 5 overall, The Home Depot No. 6.
For the week of June 17-23, 2024, the complete top 10 list is as follows: Progressive, T-Mobile, The Home Depot, Lowe’s, Babbel, Grainger, ZipRecruiter, Verizon Wireless, Allstate and Macy’s.
