iHeartRadio App Adds AI-Powered Short-Form Videos With New ‘Highlights’ Feature.

The iHeartRadio app is getting a dose of artificial intelligence. Genuin, the AI-powered platform that builds communities around content, is being integrated into the iHeartRadio app to launch a new feature called iHeartRadio Highlights. It will allow users to access short videos inside the app that the company says will bring a user’s favorite podcast or radio show to life.

With iHeartRadio Highlights, users can watch the reactions, laughs, and behind-the-scenes moments from the shows, hosts and personalities. In the announcement, iHeart says the new video feature is built to “enhance the special connection” listeners have with their favorite audio personalities, extending everyday listening into an even more interactive, shareable experience.

With the Genuin technology, iHeartRadio Highlights helps users discover curated short-form videos from top shows and podcasts and share highlights instantly with friends and family.

The rollout includes clips from some of the most popular shows including podcasts like “Las Culturistas” and “Are You A Charlotte?” as well as big radio shows, including “The Breakfast Club,” “Elvis Duran and The Morning Show,” and “The Bobby Bones Show,” among others.

This new feature comes just under a year after iHeart unveiled the next-generation iHeartRadio app, complete with industry-first mobile features and access to exclusive content. Unveiled last December, the update brought more car radio-like user experience to the app giving users presets, a scan button and a live radio “dial,” alongside features like song lyrics, what’s trending rankers, and access to exclusive content.
