iHeartMedia San Francisco’s KOSF-FM Becomes ‘Classic Hits 103.7.’


iHeartMedia San Francisco says KOSF-FM is now “Classic Hits 103.7, The Bay’s Greatest Hits of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s,” which the company touts as the Bay area’s No. 1 destination for popular pop hits across multiple decades.


Formerly known as “80s + @ 103.7,” the station will include a mix of pop favorites from the 70s, 80s and 90s and continue to feature familiar on-air talent including Christie James (Mornings), original MTV VJ Martha Quinn (Middays), Ron Michaels (Afternoons), and Clarence Barnes (Evenings).


“KOSF has broadened in era depth over the years and “Classic Hits” truly defines our music recipe,” Don Parker, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia San Francisco, said in a news release. “We’re confident ‘Classic Hits 103.7’ will resonate with an even wider audience throughout the Bay Area and position the station for future growth.”


Added KOSF Program Director Ricci Filiar: “Classic Hits really reflects what the station is all about. The music is timeless and the soundtrack of so many people’s lives.”


Listeners can tune in to Classic Hits 103.7 on the station’s website, classichits1037.iheart.com, as well as on iHeartRadio.com and the iHeartRadio app, iHeartMedia’s free digital music, podcasting, and live streaming radio service. It’s currently available across more than 500 platforms and over 2,000 devices.
