iHeartMedia Expands Women’s Sports Portfolio With NXXT Golf Agreement.

NXXT Golf has named iHeartMedia its Official Media Partner under a sponsorship agreement that will include title and presenting sponsorships across the organization’s women’s and junior golf events.

The companies announced the partnership Thursday, describing it as one of the largest audio-media sponsorship commitments made to women’s and junior competitive golf.

Under the agreement, iHeartMedia will promote NXXT Golf players and tournaments through its radio stations, podcasts, digital streaming platforms and live events. The company will serve as a title and presenting sponsor for several of NXXT Golf’s marquee properties, including the NXXT Faldo Junior Tour, the NXXT Women’s Pro Tour and the organization’s championship events.

The partnership adds NXXT Golf to iHeartMedia’s growing sports portfolio, which includes iHeart Women’s Sports, an audio platform focused on women’s athletics, as well as partnerships with the NFL, NHL, Olympic Games, U.S. Ski & Snowboard and U.S. Figure Skating.

NXXT Golf President and CEO Stuart McKinnon said the agreement reflects growing interest in women’s and junior golf.

“Women’s sports, junior development, and innovative competition formats are reshaping where golf is headed,” McKinnon said. “iHeartMedia didn’t sponsor a tour. They invested in a category — and a generation of players who are about to define what comes next in golf.”

Michael Biondo, President of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at iHeartMedia, said the company plans to use its audio platforms to help expand awareness of the tour and its athletes.

“This partnership with NXXT Golf reflects iHeartMedia’s commitment to fueling the future of sport by connecting fans with the athletes and moments that define the next generation of the game,” Biondo said. “We’re proud to amplify NXXT Golf’s mission through the power of radio, podcasts and streaming audio — bringing new audiences to the sport and supporting the next generation of elite talent.”
