iHeartMedia Dallas said Tuesday that “The Woody Show” will be added to the weekday morning lineup on the newly launched 97.1 The Eagle — Dallas-Fort Worth’s Rock Station.
According to a news release, the change will take effect Monday, July 8, 2024. The top-rated, Premiere Networks-syndicated morning show will broadcast weekdays from 5am to 10am CT. Eagle listeners currently hear segments from “The Woody Show” airing throughout the day.
iHeart calls the show “highly interactive, socially engaging appointment radio.” It features Woody, along with co-hosts Ravey, Greg Gory, Menace and Sebas.
In 2016, the program was an NAB Marconi Radio Award finalist for “Major Market Personality of the Year.” It was launched into national syndication by Premiere Networks in 2017.
“I can’t even begin to tell y’all how excited I am to be joining The Eagle,” said Woody. “From the moment y’all signed the station back on, I was hoping to get the call from y’all. Thanks to y’all at iHeart Dallas: Amy Leimbach, Patrick Davis and Zakk Zaccagnini. We’re ready to rock, y’all.”
“We are excited to announce the addition of ‘The Woody Show’ to mornings on 97.1 The Eagle,” said Amy Leimbach, Region President, iHeartMedia Dallas/Austin/San Antonio. “Given the success and widespread popularity of ‘The Woody Show,’ we have no doubt that it will strike a chord with our Dallas listeners and play a pivotal role in enhancing the Eagle’s iconic brand.”
