How Much Is Joe Budden Making On Patreon? New Leak Allegedly Tells All.

Joe Budden probably didn’t set out to give creators an idea of how much they could earn by remaining independent, but that is what he has done with an Instagram post that inadvertently showed how much he has earned on Patreon since making the move to the subscription platform in 2021.

Budden shared a screen shot showing how many visitors he has to his Patreon page. The number is 30.2 million during the last 30 days. And although he blacked out the page’s numbers showing his total number of active members and lifetime Patreon earnings, the website Complex was able to remove enough of the digital ink to reveal the numbers. It allegedly shows that Budden has earned $903,000 from Patreon subscription sales. And he currently has more than 154,000 active members to The Joe Budden Podcast.

Budden has called Patreon home since 2021 when he split with Spotify, which he accused of giving him a “bum-ass” offer reportedly worth $20 million at the same time it agreed to pay $100 million for The Joe Rogan Experience and paid $200 million to buy The Ringer from Bill Simmons.

Budden has partnered with the membership platform Patreon to monetize his daily podcast. Members will receive a range of features depending on their subscription tier, including exclusive video podcast episodes, behind-the-scenes content, and a members-only chat feature. Subscriptions to Budden’s content start at $5 per month and go up to $25. While subscribers get ad-free episodes, Budden also distributes his show widely featuring advertising.

It is not the first time the subject of his earnings has made headlines. During an April 2024 episode, Budden said that he had grossed $7 million since he launched his show in 2015, or “about $4 million” after taxes.

“Years of hard work, you all can do it too — it’s not unachievable,” he added. While that number was met with laughs from his show’s cast and crew, Budden said that when he started podcasting he did it for free and took a financial hit when he left Spotify.
