The Podcast Hall of Fame has announced its 2026 class of inductees, recognizing 11 creators, innovators, and advocates that it says have helped to shape the podcast landscape.
“This year’s class reflects the full spectrum of what makes podcasting so powerful,” Chairperson Rob Greenlee says in the announcement. “From independent educators, technologists, and community builders to legal advocates and business innovators, these inductees helped shape podcasting into a global medium, and they have made it easier for the next generation of creators to be heard.”
The 2026 class of the Podcast Hall of Fame includes:
Dan Carlin, creator and host of “Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History” and “Common Sense with Dan Carlin.”
Pat Flynn, founder of Smart Passive Income and host of “The Smart Passive Income Podcast.”
Paul Colligan, President of The Podcast Partnership and host of shows including “Thinking Out Loud” and “The Podcast Industry Report.”
Veronica Belmont, co-host of the long running “Sword & Laser” podcast and former host of Mozilla’s “IRL” and CNET Radio “Buzz Out Loud” podcast. She also served as a co-host on Revision3’s “Tekzilla” podcast.
James Cridland, editor of Podnews.
Julie Samuels, a former senior staff attorney at the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) and the organization’s first Mark Cuban Chair to Eliminate Stupid Patents.
Mark Asquith, co-founder and CEO of the hosting analytics platform Captivate.
Kerri Hoffman, CEO of PRX.
Arielle Nissenblatt, founder of EarBuds Podcast Collective; head of Community & Content at Pinwheel by Audily; and host of “Trailer Park: The Podcast Trailer Podcast” and “Daily Tips That May or May Not Help You.”
Sarah Van Mosel, Executive Director at PVBLIC Media who is a veteran of PRX, Radiotopia, Acast, Market Enginuity, iHeartMedia, and SiriusXM.
Dan Miller, best-selling author of “48 Days to the Work You Love” and longtime host of the “48 Days podcast.” (In Memoriam)
The memoriam induction for the late Miller will be presented on stage by his longtime friend and collaborator Dave Ramsey, with work that was closely connected to Ramsey’s audience and platforms. Organizers say Miller’s long-running career podcast helped define the “teach, then market” model that many podcasters and coaches follow today.
“Dan Miller showed the world that a podcast and a microphone could change someone’s entire future,” Ramsey says in a statement. “He helped people not just find work they love but build lives they could be proud of. It is a privilege to help honor Dan’s impact on stage at the Podcast Hall of Fame.”
The January induction ceremony will also remember 2015 inductee Todd Cochrane. The Blubrry co-founder and CEO died in September.
To be eligible for selection an individual must have been in podcasting for at least five years. Nominees are selected by a Board of Governors. The 2026 Podcast Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on Jan. 16, 2026, in Orlando, FL, as part of the annual Podfest Expo conference. The evening will be hosted by John Lee Dumas, founder and host of the “Entrepreneurs on Fire” series. A full video of the 2026 Podcast Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be released after the event on the official Podcast Hall of Fame YouTube channel.
