Veteran radio executive Dan Mason is chronicling more than four decades in broadcasting with the release of his new memoir, “Fearless: The Life and Times of a Media Maverick.”
The book takes readers behind the scenes of Mason’s career and the changing radio industry, with stories about working alongside some of the most recognizable figures in radio and media.
Mason examines the challenges of leading through an industry transformed by new technology, changing consumer tastes and the continuing pressure to deliver ratings. The memoir traces his path from the early stages of his career to the highest levels of broadcasting while reflecting on radio’s culture of music, storytelling and leadership.
“Fearless” also focuses on the role of data, innovation and relationships in an industry that has undergone significant change over the past several decades. The book is positioned as both a career retrospective and a look at the people and culture that have helped sustain radio.
Broadcasters Foundation of America Chairman Scott Herman calls Mason “one of the greatest visionaries in the history of radio.”
“Fearless” is available now, with proceeds from book sales benefiting the Broadcasters Foundation of America. Order “Fearless” HERE.
