Cumulus Media may have lost The Dan Bongino Show from its lineup of podcasts and syndicated radio shows, but the two have teamed up to fill the gap left behind in the wake of his decision to take a job in the Trump administration. Silverloch Productions, the production company founded by Dan and Paula Bongino, will produce a new podcast hosted by Vince Coglianese. The one-hour podcast titled simply as “Vince” will be a warm up to his new radio show that will air weekdays from 12-3pm and be syndicated by Cumulus-owned Westwood One.
Coglianese currently hosts afternoons (3-6pm) on Cumulus news/talk WMAL-FM Washington (105.9). He also serves as Editorial Director of the conservative daily news publication, The Daily Caller, and has been a frequent guest host of The Dan Bongino Show.
"I am beyond thrilled to be stepping into this role with Westwood One and Silverloch and can't thank my WMAL family in Washington enough for the eight incredible years we've already spent together,” Coglianese says in the announcement. “Now we take things to the next level. I'm deeply conscious of the history-making legacies of these broadcasts, which is why we will be delivering the ultimate three-hour live radio show and one-hour podcast for the millions of Americans who demand the truth.”
The Vince podcast and “The Vince Show” on radio are set to launch March 17.
The conservative talk podcast, which will be released weekday mornings, and the radio show will feature interviews and live caller interactions that will leverage Coglianese’s insight into and knowledge of the inner workings of Washington. With nearly two decades of experience in conservative journalism and broadcasting, Cumulus also points out that Coglianese earlier had the top-rated morning show on WMAL.
Westwood One says the syndicated radio show will launch with more than 250 affiliates, including several Cumulus-owned stations in top markets including KABC Los Angeles, WLS Chicago, WBAP Dallas, KSFO San Francisco, WMAL-FM Washington, and KCMO-AM/FM Kansas City.
“Vince’s star has been on the rise, and we’re thrilled to welcome him to the unparalleled Westwood One platform to expand his reach even further,” says Collin Jones, President of Westwood One and Executive VP for Cumulus Media. “Vince’s unparalleled ability to combine realism with sharp political insight makes him the ideal host to captivate audiences across both live radio and podcasting.”
The Cumulus Podcast Network will handle the distribution, sales, and marketing for the Vince podcast, as part of Silverloch’s wider portfolio of podcasts.
“Vince brings a fresh and engaging perspective to conservative talk radio, and I am thrilled to see him join our portfolio and the Westwood One lineup,” says Paula Bongino in a statement. “As my husband Dan embarks on his new role as Deputy Director of the FBI, we are both confident Vince’s ability to connect with listeners and tackle important issues with both passion and clarity will guide the future of conservative media.”
Dan Bongino last week announced that he and wife, Paula, had launched the media production company Silverloch. It describes itself as a company that is focused on “shaping culture” with a foundation rooted in faith, freedom and a conservative viewpoint. It also plans to debut a new daily evening podcast called Nightly Scroll. It will be hosted by Haley Caronia, a veteran of conservative outlets including Fox News, OutKick and Newsmax.
