Singer Meghan Trainor is launching a new podcast called Workin’ On It. The coproduction of Cloud10 Media and iHeartMedia will pair Trainor and her brother, Ryan Trainer. Together they will take on a new topic each week such as becoming a new mom, navigating Hollywood, mental health, and everything in between.
“I hope that getting to share our stories will make people laugh with and at us,” says Meghan.
The podcast is one of several new endeavors for Meghan, who has struck a deal with NBCUniversal Television and Streaming Entertainment for a cross-platform partnership. Coming this fall, fans will also get to watch her as the host of “Top Chef Family Style” on Peacock and as a judge on “Clash of the Cover Bands” on E!
“I might be biased but I think that Meghan is the funniest person in the world.” says Ryan of their new podcast. “I can’t wait for everyone to realize that she’s not just ‘that Bass girl.’”
The podcast network and production studio Cloud10 Media signed a two-year production and distribution deal with the iHeartPodcast Network last November. As part of the deal, all existing and upcoming Cloud10 Media podcasts will be distributed by the iHeartPodcast Network and will be promoted across iHeartMedia’s multiplatform network, including radio, digital, social media, and live events.
