‘Bob & Sheri Show’ Announces End Of Syndication.

After 30 years of national syndication, Now Media’s “Bob & Sheri Show” has announced it will move from its currently free ad-supported model to a paid direct-to-listener subscription service starting in January 2027.
Host Sheri Lynch and Now Media Director of Syndication Tony Garcia made the announcement Monday (Sept. 14) on the show’s “Oddcast” podcast, noting that since launching Now Media in 2017, ad revenue for “Bob & Sheri” has seen a significant 20% to 40% decline, while members of the show’s team have taken pay cuts since 2020.
The “Bob & Sheri Show” will have its final broadcast in Charlotte, NC — where it began in 1992, when Lynch became Bob Lacey’s morning show co-host on then-AC “Sunny 107.9” WBT-FM — on Friday, Sept. 18. Lacey retired from the show in January 2025.
On Sept. 21, Beasley Media Group adult hits “K104.7” WKQC, which has aired “Bob & Sheri” since 2021, will replace it with the “Maney & LauRen” show, moving from Beasley CHR “Kiss 95.1” WNKS, given the impending sale of “Kiss” to Educational Media Foundation/K-Love, Inc.
During the podcast, Lynch and Garcia explained that “Bob & Sheri” affiliates have already been notified of the move away from syndication at the end of the year.
“Our time as radio broadcasters, I believe, is drawn to an end,” Lynch said, as both noted that the decision reflects changes in how people consume media and how advertisers spend their money. Garcia added, “Thinking about the future, we’re not seeing [syndication] as a viable distribution channel for our content. While we are nostalgic for the good old days, the good old days don’t come back. It’s up to us to figure out [what] the next step forward is, but when we bet on ourselves, we usually do ok.”
