The Black Information Network (BIN) is expanding its reach beyond iHeartMedia stations, announcing that its BIN All News format will be available to all broadcasters nationwide on a market-exclusive basis beginning Nov. 1. The move marks a major step in BIN’s mission to deliver trusted, culturally relevant news to Black audiences across the country.
Stations will be able to integrate BIN programming in multiple ways — from short hourly newscasts and select dayparts to the full 24/7 news format as a turnkey option for outlets seeking credible, consistent coverage.
Launched five years ago and headquartered in Atlanta, BIN has grown into one of the most trusted sources of news for Black listeners, with affiliates in 34 markets and national availability via the iHeartRadio app. The network operates around the clock with Black journalists, anchors, and producers telling stories that reflect the priorities, experiences, and perspectives of the Black community.
In addition to expanding its news footprint, BIN has deepened its community engagement through partnerships with Black newspapers, collaborations with local organizations on issues such as accidental gun deaths in Detroit and Black maternal health in New York, and an alliance with the Obama Foundation to promote leadership and civic involvement.
“This expansion represents our next step — a commitment to every broadcaster who wants to serve their audience with credible, relevant news,” the network said in its announcement, which was made at the NABOB Black Media Summit in Washington, DC.
