The Broadcasters Foundation of America will host its next Media Mixer Oct. 7 at the Museum of Broadcast Communications in Chicago, bringing together broadcast professionals ahead of the Radio Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony the following evening.

The event, scheduled for 5:30-7:30pm CT, will feature iHeartMedia Chairman and CEO Bob Pittman, who is among this year’s Radio Hall of Fame inductees. Pittman will participate in a Q&A with Premiere Networks’ nationally syndicated morning host Fred of “The Fred Show.”

The Chicago Media Mixer is designed to provide an informal networking opportunity for broadcast professionals, with a particular focus on giving junior industry employees the chance to interact with peers, on-air talent and executives.

“With many executives in Chicago for the next night’s Radio Hall of Fame, we expect this to be our most exciting Media Mixer to date,” Broadcasters Foundation President Tim McCarthy says. “We are especially thankful to Bob for giving us his time and providing this rare opportunity for junior professionals to meet and interact with him.”

The event also will feature the Museum of Broadcast Communications’ interactive exhibit, “The Evolution of Late-Night Television.”

Attendance is free, with sponsorship support from organizations including the Illinois Broadcasters Association. Registration is required, and space is limited.

The Broadcasters Foundation’s Media Mixer series has hosted networking events in markets including New York, Los Angeles and Cleveland, bringing together members of the broadcast community.

The Chicago event will take place Oct. 7, one day before the Radio Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Tickets for the induction ceremony can be purchased HERE.
