Beasley Launches Nighttime Relationship Show On Trio Of Stations.

Beasley Media Group debuts the “Cooper and Anthony Show,” a new nighttime relationship advice program that will air in the evenings on the company’s “96 K-Rock” WRXK Ft. Myers, classic rock “98.7 The Shark” WPBB Tampa, and the recently launched hot talk “X-1075 Xtreme Radio” KXTE Las Vegas.

Hosted by development psychologist Dr. Cooper Lawrence and radio veteran Anthony Michaels, the program will focus on sex, relationships, and advice – in the vein of “Loveline” and Love Phones” – from a man’s point of view.

“We could not be more thrilled to launch Cooper and Anthony in several of our markets across the country,” Executive VP and COO Brian Beasley said in a release. “The show’s content is truly unique and original. Our audiences will love it!”

The duo, who have been together in some form since 2006, previously hosted mornings at Cox Media Group CHR WBLI Nassau-Suffolk, NY (106.1). They also hosted a syndicated program that was heard on 120 stations, which also included a companion podcast. Lawrence was also previously part of the former “Scott & Todd Morning Show” on the former WPLJ New York.

“As someone who grew up listening to fun and edgy night shows like ‘Loveline’ and others, I’m very excited to launch the Cooper & Anthony show on three of our great rock brands,” Chief Content Officer Justin Chase added. “They will most certainly make radio a lot more interesting at night in Fort Myers, Tampa, and Vegas.”

"This is the show I got into radio to do,” Cooper remarked. “I've been waiting for the right team with the same vision. We found it with the amazing folks at Beasley. Anthony and I can't wait to share this show with our listening family, because it's all about them.”

"I actually started my career with Beasley at WCHZ-FM in Charlotte,” Anthony commented. “It’s so great to be back home and have the opportunity to work with Cooper again. Talk about coming around full circle.”
