Audacy Dominates Top 10 PM Drive Sports Shows.

When it comes to sports radio’s most listened-to daypart, Audacy knows the score.

The company has a strong presence in Inside Radio’s TOP 10 ranking of afternoon drive shows on sports-formatted stations, based on persons 6+ cume delivery in PPM markets during Nielsen’s fall 2025 wave (October-to-December three-month average), as compiled by ACT 1 Systems. Audacy claims six of the top 10 overall and four of the top five sports talk shows.

Inside Radio’s TOP 10 rankings are based on actual listenership and are not a popularity contest decided by a few dozen individuals.

Leading the pack is the station that started it all, New York’s “The Fan” WFAN-AM/FM (660/ 101.9), which in 1987 became America’s first all-sports radio station. With a cume of just under half a million, Audacy’s WFAN has had a history of successful PM drive hosts, including Chris “Mad Dog” Russo, Mike Francesa and the team of Evan Roberts and former New York Giant Tiki Barber, who hosted afternoons during Nielsen’s Fall 2025 measurement period. As of January, veteran WFAN host Craig Carton took over the daypart, accompanied by Chris McMonigle.

Audacy’s “97.1 The Ticket” WXYT-FM Detroit’s “The Valenti Show” with Mike Valenti, who has been with the station since 2004, comes in second, followed by Petros Papadakis and Matt “Money” Smith, who have hosted afternoons on iHeartMedia’s “LA Sports” KLAC (570 AM) Los Angeles since 2007.

Audacy shows rank fourth and fifth, with Ike Reese, Spike Eskin and Jack Fritz afternoons on “Sportsradio 94” WIP-FM Philadelphia, followed by “Sports Radio 610” KILT-AM Houston’s “The Drive” with hosts Clint Stoerner and Ron “The Show” Hughley.

Audacy takes the sixth position on the Top 10 with Matt Spiegel and Laurence Holmes, driving listeners home on “The Score” WSCR-AM Chicago (670), which began simulcasting on 104.3 in February of this year. Bonneville “Seattle Sports 710” KIRO-AM’s Dave Wyman and Bob Stelton are ranked seventh, followed by another Audacy station — “105.3 The Fan” KRLD-FM Dallas, home to “GBag Nation” since 2013, with Gavin Dawson, Bryan Broaddus, Jeff Cavanaugh and Zach Wolchuk currently hosting.

Beasley Media Group “98.5 The Sports Hub” WBZ-FM Boston’s “Felger & Mazz” (Mike Felger and Tony Massarotti), who have been with the station since its start in 2009, take the No. 9 position, followed by iHeartMedia’s “K-Fan” KFXN-FM (100.3) Minneapolis’ “Bumper to Bumper” with Dan Barreiro, who’s hosted there for more than three decades.
