As Black Friday Looms, Home Center Titans Top Weekly Spot Count.

Just ahead of Black Friday and the heart of the 2024 holiday shopping season, the two biggest players in the Home Centers & Hardware Stores category — Lowe’s and The Home Depot — claimed the top two spots on Media Monitors’ Spot Ten list of the top radio advertisers for the week of Nov. 18-24, 2024.

Lowe’s, with 54,494 spots, jumped to No. 1 from the third spot a week ago, just ahead of The Home Depot (51,727), which occupies the No. 2 spot, unchanged from the previous week.

Progressive, routinely at or near the top of the weekly list, fell from No. 1 to No. 3 with 50,295 plays.

There were no major gainers during the past week; only Mattress Firm made ripples in that regard, rising from No. 11 to No. 9 with 33,592 spots.

Competition remained fierce among players in the Wireless Carrier space, with three companies cracking the top 10: No. 4 Cricket Wireless (39,497), No. 5 Verizon Wireless (38,090) and No. 8 T-Mobile (34,357).

For the week of Nov. 18-24, the top 10 advertisers on Media Monitors’ weekly list include: Lowe’s, The Home Depot, Progressive, Cricket, Verizon Wireless, eBay, Vicks, T-Mobile, Mattress Firm and ZipRecruiter.
