Alex Cooper-Alix Earle Rift Reignites As Podcast Tensions Go Public.

Two of podcasting’s best-known personalities are making headlines for what appears to be rising tensions over their split more than a year ago. Unwell Network founder Alex Cooper is publicly calling out influencer Alix Earle as tensions between the two escalate after Earle’s exit from Cooper’s network. In a TikTok video posted this week, Cooper accused Earle of fueling “fake drama” through a series of “passive aggressive reposts and likes,” and challenged her to address the situation directly.

“There’s no NDA. No one is stopping you,” Cooper said, urging Earle to “just say what you’ve got to say.”

The latest flashpoint between two of podcasting’s most prominent creator brands comes after Earle reposted a video that criticized Cooper’s business practices on her “Call Her Daddy” show, including claims that she profits from guests’ personal struggles — calling Cooper an “ambulance chaser” and a “grim reaper” who “wants to be there when you’re vulnerable and you’re broken down and you’re ready to sign over your rights to your life.”

The post prompted Cooper, 31, to respond publicly on TikTok, saying she was “tired of waking up” to what she described as a misleading narrative about their relationship. “I know what happened, and so do you,” Cooper says in the TikTok video. “So talk, unless the fake narrative that you’re creating happens to be way more interesting than the truth. I have nothing to hide when it comes to you and me. So unless you actually have something to say, I’m out. This is over.”

The dispute can be traced back to early 2025, when Earle’s podcast “Hot Mess” split from Unwell under unclear circumstances. While the network ultimately relinquished rights to the show, the split fueled speculation of a falling out between two women with the biggest followings among young listeners.

Earle, 25, had been among the first creators to join Unwell after signing on in 2023, making her exit particularly notable as the network worked to build a roster of creator-led shows. Cooper said at the time that Earle’s show offered a “unique presence that captivates an audience” and that she was glad she was in a place where she could “pass along knowledge and advice for a new generation of creators to flourish.”

Since Earle exited Unwell, the two hosts have continued to grow their brands independently, even as questions around their relationship have lingered. The latest exchange suggests the dispute may be entering a more public phase.

After Cooper’s video, Earle responded in the comments with “Okay on it!!” signaling she may address the situation more directly. Earle returned to producing her podcast last June after taking a four-month hiatus from the show.
