Honda Motor said it was recalling 750,000 vehicles in the U.S. over a defect involving air bags that could deploy unintentionally during a crash. The front passenger seat weight sensor may crack and short circuit, failing to suppress the air bag as intended, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said. Dealers will replace the seat weight sensors… General Motors is recalling 323,232 vehicles to address an issue with the tailgate that may open while driving, potentially causing a road hazard, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said. The recall includes some Chevrolet Silverado 2500, 3500, GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500 vehicles equipped with power-unlatching tailgates, the NHTSA said.
Nordstrom has launched its yearlong “Make Room for Shoes” campaign that features monthly partnerships with footwear brands as they release new shoes and exclusive styles in stores and online. Nordstrom will exclusively sell On’s Cloudspark women’s running shoe through March 3, followed by collaborations with Sam Edelman, Birkenstock and Larroude... Publix’s newest location in Wesley Chapel, Fla., spans 55,701 square feet and includes a burrito bar, olive bar, outdoor seating, a Publix Pours bar and a hot food buffet. The store marks the company’s third featuring a larger, more experiential prototype that’s designed to blend features from the company’s specialty GreenWise banner with the traditional grocery-store feel… CVS Health has reached a deal to sell its retail drugstores in Puerto Rico to Caribe Pharmacy Holdings, according to the Associated Press. CVS said the deal involving 22 of its pharmacies would be completed in April.
MAPCO Express has begun to serve pizza off the Noble Roman’s menu at locations in Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia. Available Noble Roman offerings include its signature pizza varieties in individual, medium and large sizes, alongside two sub sandwiches, cheesy sticks and a selection of breakfast items… Applebee’s has come up with a bit of a mea culpa for angry fans threatening to boycott the casual dining chain after its Date Night Pass subscription sold out in less than a minute. The company said it is offering 1,000 additional Date Night Passes. Those 1,000 passes, however, will be made available for purchase via a random drawing. Guests are now able to register to participate in this drawing for the chance to purchase a pass now through Friday at Applebees.com/DateNightPass. The winning fans will be notified with details to purchase on Valentine’s Day.
Deepening its resale presence, H&M unveiled a new store concept in New York City featuring a secondhand shop-in-shop, the fast-fashion giant said. The store is the first in North America to offer the “Pre-Loved” shop-in-shop experience. To kick off the store opening, H&M tapped New York-based vintage fashion seller James Veloria to curate select clothing and accessories for the secondhand assortment.
