The City of Angels’ most listened-to radio stations reflect decades of dominance, industry awards and, most important, listener loyalty.

At the top of Inside Radio’s TOP 10 stations in L.A. — based on weekly cume delivery of persons 6+ during Nielsen’s Q2 2026 wave (April-to-June three-month average) — is the market’s foremost adult contemporary station since 1982, iHeartMedia’s KOST (103.5), leading with a 2.5 million cume. Waking up Angelenos on KOST is 36-year market veteran Ellen K, one of this year’s NAB Marconi Radio Awards finalists for Major Market Personality of the Year.

Ranked second at 2.2 million is Audacy classic hits “K-Earth 101” KRTH, which began as a pioneer of the oldies format in 1972. A Marconi Legendary Station of the Year winner, KRTH has been home to current morning drive host Gary Bryan since 2002.

Coming in third with a 2.0 million cume is a 2026 Marconi AC Station of the Year finalist, iHeartMedia hot AC “104.3 MyFM” KBIG, flagship of the syndicated “Valentine in the Morning” since the station’s start in 2007.

Together, iHeartMedia and Audacy claim eight of L.A.’s top 10, with four stations each. Audacy’s urban AC “94.7 The Wave” KTWV and adult hits “93.1 Jack FM” KCBS-FM place fourth and fifth, with 1.8 and 1.7 million respectively.

iHeartMedia’s longtime CHR KIIS-FM (102.7), ranking sixth with a 1.6 million cume, is the flagship of Premiere-syndicated “On Air with Ryan Seacrest,” a 2026 Marconi finalist for Network/Syndicated Personality of the Year. Two legendary L.A. rock stations — Audacy modern/alternative rocker KROQ (106.7), and Meruelo Media classic rock KLOS (95.5) — take seventh and eighth, both at the 1.2-million mark.

The market’s other modern/alternative rock station, iHeartMedia’s “Alt 98.7” KYSR, flagship of the syndicated “The Woody Show,” comes in ninth at 1.1 million, followed by Univision Spanish AC “K-Love 107.5” KLVE, L.A. first Spanish FM station and a three-time Marconi winner for Spanish Station of the Year.
