The 4As has launched 4As Intelligence, an AI-powered platform designed to give member agencies self-service access to industry research, insights and expertise.
The platform’s first capability, called the Research Agent, allows members to ask questions in plain language and receive in-depth research analysis with citations linking directly to the underlying source material.
The 4As says the platform differs from generic AI search tools by tying claims in its responses to specific documents or datasets produced by the organization or obtained from credible partners and industry sources. Members can use the citations to verify information, conduct additional research or cite the source material in their own work.
The platform also provides a way for users to connect with 4As experts when questions require additional guidance. The human-expert escalation feature is currently available through the Research team, with plans to expand it to other areas.
“Our members have always had the 4As expertise to draw upon,” Justin Thomas-Copeland, CEO of the 4As, says in a news release. “What they need today is faster access to that deep expertise 24/7. 4As Intelligence puts decades of industry insights, research and survey data at your fingertips, with the sourcing to back it up and our team standing by to deliver personalized expertise when needed. It will serve our members at their speed. We are excited to serve this new level of value to our members.”
The 4As says the platform is intended to address questions that arise outside traditional business hours, including research needed for pitches or information used to brief agency employees.
The Research Agent is the first capability planned for 4As Intelligence. The organization said additional capabilities are planned and will be built around agency needs.
“This is exactly the type of innovation I love seeing out of the 4As: curated, useful, directly taking something off my to-build list and I can already see it growing into something even more useful,” says Mitch Hislop, VP, AI and Technological Innovation.
The launch is part of a broader effort by the 4As to expand its role from a traditional trade association into an always-on service platform for members. The organization says the technology will also help its staff identify relevant resources and strengthen connections across its membership.
