McDonald’s plans to increase its US marketing spend by around $100 million, and it expects to be well-positioned to recover after the current dining room restrictions lift due to their drive-thru capabilities. "As McDonald's dining rooms start gradually reopening, we expect it will heavily advertise its safety precautions in order to comfort customers worried about cleanliness." Along with the national TV ads, the company plans to use radio, print and outdoor.
