Marketing may be weathering companies’ cost cuts during the coronavirus pandemic so far—at least in relative terms. Spending on marketing rose as a share of companies’ overall budgets to 12.6% in May from 11.3% in January, according to the latest CMO Survey from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
